I would like to start this off by saying that this is a lovely piece. You've put a lot of effort into it and it clearly shows. I only have a few minor inclusion I would like with it though: from 00:59 to 01:09 there are these little characters bobbing their heads, they don't seem to be in rhythm with the music. I would like if there would be a sort of rhythmic symmetry with the music and the animation as a whole (the music is dope as all hell BTW) I just see this missed opportunities with synchronization that should be looked into within the future.
You've clearly thought this out because within the musical transitions you follow through with the animation transitions going through as well. And within this piece of art there are clear details you've wanted to add. The backgrounds have a awesome feel to them and that last scene with the lover of our protagonist (presuming) is a beautiful change in scenery. Which leads me to my second point of criticism: the music doesn't fit the feeling at the end IMO. This is more of a critique with pacing more than musical skill. This would be the sort of little glissando down towards the end of the story, so whenever that distorted riff comes in it feels off-handed. Which could be your creative envisioning which I would totally understand. But it just feels a little too much IMO.
And just to remind you: these are minor things that I think could be handled a little bit better in the future. And don't be discouraged: You have shown a lot of talent and passion in this pilot. You have done a fantastic job in bringing out your vision to the world and I commemorate that. Keep up the great work and celebrate what you've done. For there will be many accomplishments to come further down your animation journey.
